I realized that, even on Ver. 6.3.6 of NoMachine, USB sharing didn’t work out of the box (that is, in typical, straight forward installations). To make USB sharing work (i.e. The USB stick you plug in to your client, appears as a USB device on the server) you need to compile nxusb.ko manually on the server (probably on the client as well. NoMachine for Everybody Go from your desktop to any NoMachine-enabled computer at the speed of light. Thanks to our NX technology, NoMachine is the fastest and highest quality remote desktop you have ever tried. Get to any computer in the world in just a few clicks! The driver nxusb.ko is missing. The main case of failure is when the driver used, on the NoMachine client side, to share a USB device is not properly loaded because it actually failed to get compiled when NoMachine was installed or because it failed to be loaded for security reasons.

On the AWS server:
sudo apt update
wait two minutes after the end of the update
On my PC on Ubuntu 20.04:
get the lastest version of NoMachine on the web site
scp -i .pem nomachine_6.10.12_1_amd64.deb ubuntu@:/tmp
On the AWS server:
